Bono

Welcome to Bono, the friendly and neighborly community! Established in 1883, its original name was Bonnerville. In 1916 the name was changed to Bono. Since the beginning, it has remained a small, friendly community where you can easily become like family with all of your neighbors. In 2017, they were awarded the prestigious honor of having the best tasting water in the state by the Arkansas Rural Water Association because of their two water storage towers. 

Bono Activities and Restaurants

You don’t have to go far from home to enjoy the fresh air and quiet. Families can play at Bono City Park or go fishing or hiking at Bono Lake. Residents of all ages can get to know one another while attending the city’s many events. Also, the town is just a short fifteen minute drive from the Jonesboro, a bustling town with name-brand retailers and restaurants. Bono has several restaurants such as: Fox’s Pizza Den, Vaughn’s Pit Stop BBQ, Sonic, Subway, and La Fiesta Mexican Restaurant. It is also the home to Jimco Lamp Company.

Schools

Westside Consolidated School District serves all of the Bono area. Westside has three schools: Westside Elementary, Westside Middle School, and Westside High School. To search for homes in the Westside School district, click here.
