Welcome to Harrisburg: a friendly, rural community located in Poinsett County. It is just a 20 minute drive from Jonesboro on the western part of Crowley’s Ridge. Surrounded by farmland and beautiful landscape, the area is known for small game hunting such as deer, duck, turkey, and goose.
Each year thousands of visitors travel to Harrisburg to enjoy the Parker Homestead Festival, a 19th century town that has been built, curated, and cared for by four generations of Parkers. The festival is celebrated for two weekends in October.
Shopping and Dining
It may be a small town; however, there are some great dining options! Gavin’s is located in the downtown area and has amazing steaks and pies. In addition to Gavins there are plenty of other local options including: Mel’s Steaks, Big O’s Ribs, and Iguanas Mexican Bar and Grill. After dining downtown, you can check out Gray’s Attic Vintage Shop or The Green Frog.
Harrisburg is just a short twenty minute drive from the Mall at Turtle Creek, a bustling shopping mall filled with name-brand retailers and restaurants.

Student attend Harrisburg Public Schools. This school district consists of: Elementary School, Middle School, and High School.
